In July of 2015, I was contacted by a commercial art consultant asking me to design and create a wall sculpture for Prairie Care Clinic in Brooklyn Park, MN.
The metal ring has a diameter of 9 feet. It is 3" wide and 5/16" thick and bent to lay against the wall.
The sculpture is 10 feet from bottom right to top and is made from African mahogany with 1/2" maple strips which run the thickness of the piece and are bent into the curves.
At top right is a copper disk and at bottom left is a disk laminated from solid shaped joined together with a copper center strip. Both disks are mounted to the steel ring with 5/8" bolts.
